We welcome you to join us in celebrating the 49th annual Lake George Rendezvous, to be held on the village docks in Lake George, NY on Aug. 25-26th, 2023

Print and fill in our Registration Form when it is available in May 2023.

Lake George nicknamed the “Queen of American Lakes” is 32 miles long and varies from 1-3 miles in width. There are 395 islands sprinkled throughout the crystal-clear water. Come and plan on spending the weekend exploring our beautiful lake and participate in this annual event. In addition to over 50 boats on display both in and out of the water, there will also be a land display of Model T automobiles.

Kick off the weekend by attending our Friday morning 9am-noon Bolton Landing preview. Bring your boat by water or trailer to the public docks at Rogers Memorial Park for a casual public display. Then, on Friday afternoon from 3-5pm, bring your trailered boat down to Beach Road along the village docks for a mini land display preview for the public. The village has kindly blocked off the road to accommodate our beautiful boats to be displayed. This is a great chance to hang out and chat with folks about your boat and give them a sneak peek for Saturday’s show.  Afterwards, be sure to sign up for our welcome cocktail / hors d’ oeuvres gathering on Friday evening at 5 pm at the beautiful Fort William Henry Hotel. Come and catch up on old friendships and start new ones.

The 49th Rendezvous is Saturday at the Lake George Village Docks from 10:00am – 4:00 pm. Conclude the weekend at the Fort William Henry Hotel, walking distance from the docks, for a casual Awards dinner. Relax and rejuvenate yourself while your boats are being tended by a watchman. The dinner concludes at 6:30pm, leaving plenty of time to trailer/motor home.

***AGAIN, THIS YEAR! ***The Fort William Henry Hotel and Conference Center across from Beach Road from the show are a sponsor. They have set aside a block of rooms for our event at a substantial discount and will also allow our members staying there adequate parking for boat trailers. Call the hotel directly at (518) 668-3081 and refer to Antique & Classic Boat Show to obtain the room discount.   https://www.fortwilliamhenry.com/.

RENDEZVOUS DETAILS:

Registration:

Registrations will be honored in the order received, so be sure to submit your registration materials as soon as possible. In the unlikely event that the Show must be delayed or cancelled, refunds will be made in full. Registration forms are mailed to members as well as available to print on our website. Please return by mail no later than August 13th.  The Adirondack chapter continues to support the guidelines presented by ABCS International regarding the “Best Preserved” and “Best Restored” categories. The general criteria are traditional boats containing less than 65% of their original hull side and deck planks should be considered as “restored” rather than “preserved”. Bottom replacement is a safety item and should not be factored into the preserved/restored estimate.  Feel free to email our Registration Chairman Adam Weisburgh with any questions at aweisburgh@live.com

~ If registering as a Vendor, it is required by the Village of Lake George to obtain a permit from them. Go to Village of Lake George homepage and search vendor application. Please include your permit and tax ID# on our registration form.

Launching sites:

All trailered boats being launched in Lake George must undergo an inspection at one of the seven regional inspection stations around the lake before launching. This is to ensure that there are no invasive species being introduced to Lake George by trailers or boats. All boats should be clean, drained and dry for free inspection by attending technicians. Refer to lgboatinspections.com for complete information and launch sites.

  • Million Dollar Beach ramp: Located on Beach Road in Lake George village, just east of the Show docks. If you would like to use this launch, it’s best to arrive early, as there are only 25 spaces for trailer parking. Go to Lake George docks and boat launch for full information.
  • Dunham’s Bay Marina: On the east side, 4.3 miles north on 9L. This site is for small boats only – 22 feet or less with low windshields, as there is a fixed bridge you need to go under to get to the lake. dunhamsbaymarina.com Phone: (518)744-2627 or (518)798-1718
  • Norowal Marina: On the west side, 11.3 miles north on 9N in Bolton Landing. Full-service marina. norowalmarina.com Phone: (518) 644-3741

If you trailer your boat to Lake George, please remember to purchase a Lake Use Permit. These are available at any Marina.

Docking Information: This Show sells out and registrations will be assigned slips in the order they are postmarked. After the docks are full, we will assign slips stern-in to the boardwalk on a line. The week of the event, you will receive an email of the docking layout so you will know where your slip is reserved. Remember to bring plenty of fenders and lines. Please arrive between 8:00 – 9:30 am and be in place by 9:45 am. We will have dock hands to assist you in locating your slip as well as securing your boat. Upon tying up your boat, make your way to the registration tent located at the center of the docking area and enjoy complimentary coffee and pastries. You will also check in here and receive your registration bag. This will contain name tags for registered crew members, gifts, as well as your boat placard to be displayed. If you choose to participate in the fly-by midafternoon, your placard will have your boat’s number on the back. This is for identification purposes. Be sure to browse our ship’s store here for new items!

Fly-By: This is always a hit with the attending crowd!  Spectators look forward to hearing the rumbling start of the boat engines and watching them take off from the docks before circling back to the crowd.  Accompanying the boats will be our knowledgeable announcer explaining a brief description of each participating vessel as it passes before the crowd. Be sure to include a complete history of your boat, as this will be a reference for our announcer. We will have a brief captain’s meeting reviewing the fly-by details at approximately 2pm. After completing the fly-by, return to any open slip at the docks, secure your boat, and head to the BBQ at Fort William Henry, a short walk up the hill to enjoy a relaxing picnic for the conclusion of the weekend.
